Our unparalleled Girls Create summer camp program has ignited the passions and talents of 6th to 10th grade girls and non-binary youth in playwriting, comedy, fashion design, and developing social and emotional skills through art in our newest camp, Artfully Minded, for the past 10 years.
In July 2024 we will continue our programming with 4 different week long camps throughout the summer in Fashion Design, Playwriting, our Artfully Minded camp and Stand Up Comedy.
Professionals teach, guest artists share their expertise, and mentors from the community guide and encourage – empowering girls and non-binary youth to lead and to affect change in themselves and others through creative learning. Emphasis is placed on the creation process and not the final outcome.
Each week-long program culminates in a showcase where we invite the community, including friends and family of the girls and non-binary youth, to see their work. This Friday celebration is a highlight for participants and instructors!
All camps start at $275/week and include all materials and supplies. Lunch is not included; however, a morning and afternoon snack are! All camps are in person and all camp times are 9am-3pm at Redeemer Community Building, 3300 W Nevada Place, Denver 80219.

Our Girls Write is a theatre and writing immersion camp that empowers the imagination of girls and non-binary youth through their creation of individual short plays. Guest actors and directors bring each story to life in a staged reading at the end of the week. As they develop creative tools for storytelling, campers gain confidence in their unique voices and experience the value of sharing ideas
Our Girls Stand Up features seasoned mentors and teaching artists providing a fun space for girls and non-binary youth to exercise their creative energies through creating comedy sets to boost self-confidence and playfulness. The campers will perform their comedy sets at the end of the week.
Girls Design Fashion takes our campers behind the scenes of the fashion world. They will explore what fashion design can be with various guest artists who will introduce the campers to sources of inspiration, design techniques, easy ways to upcycle and the importance of sustainability. A fashion show for family and friends will top off this week of confidence and community building!
Our newest camp, Girls Artfully Minded, creates a brave space for girls and non-binary youth to express themselves through creative visual art activities. This wellness camp includes daily creativity + conversation to create an ongoing monthly cohort for healing and artistic expression to continue.

At Girls Create, we believe that “Girl” means many things and can be a complicated term. We recognize that the term “Girl” does not automatically include all aspects of the gender spectrum that is welcome at camp. We want to create a safer space for the expression and growth for all girls, trans and gender-nonconforming individuals. We ask for pronouns because we don’t want to assume anyone’s gender identity! If you are comfortable sharing please do, if not that’s ok too. Knowing your preferred pronoun helps us to address you in the way most comfortable for you.
