10 Reasons Why Girls Create is the Ultimate Summer Camp

Now in its 7th year, our unparalleled Girls Create summer camp program ignites the passions and talents of 6th to 10th grade girls in fashion design, stand-up and playwriting. Beginning in June, camps are in-person from 9 am – 3 pm MST. Professionals teach, guest artists share their expertise, and mentors guide and encourage during the creative process.
Each week-long camp culminates in a final project where we invite the community, including friends and family of the girls, to see their work. This Friday celebration is a highlight for participants and instructors!

Girls Design Fashion (June 20-24) unleashes girls’ inner fashionista! With professional fashion designers to guide them, campers learn the principles of illustration, design, fabric draping, and construction.This camp not only provides a fun creative outlet, but it also helps develop key life skills like innovation, focus, planning, and problem-solving. (Space is limited!)
Girls Stand Up (July 18-22) features seasoned mentors providing a fun space for girls to explore their sense of humor and develop their comedic instincts. Campers will create a stand-up comedy set, utilizing storytelling, joke structure, timing and natural talent.The ability to be effortlessly funny builds confidence in girls and becomes an invaluable tool throughout adulthood. Girls Write (July 11-15 Sold Out; Waitlist) is a theatre and writing immersion camp that empowers girls’ imaginations through their creation of individual short plays. Guest actors and directors bring each story to life in a staged reading at the end of the week. As they develop creative tools for storytelling, girls gain confidence in their unique voices and experience the value of sharing ideas.
