About Us
artBURSTS is the latest series of events highlighting women artists in our Curating Art for Impact program, which produces impactful and unique art with community partners. Building on the success of #ArtFindsUs, we are continuing to unleash art in the streets of Denver by collaborating with partners, artists, and supporters to bring this initiative to life.
Featuring free pop-up performances for audiences to experience the joy a burst of art brings, artBURSTS is a family-friendly, mobile art event that uplifts individuals and compensates local artists, especially women/women of color. ArtBURSTS brings us local musicians in pedicabs, billboard trucks with visual artwork, and a mobile stage showcasing dance, comedy, and spoken word to diverse communities.

Athena Project will curate the art and fund artists, placing emphasis on women* artists, and artists of color.
*We recognize that the term “women’’ doesn’t automatically include all aspects of the gender spectrum. We continue to create a safer space for the expression and growth of all women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
