Join Athena Project as we highlight the work of an artist each week who has been able to shift her business to still engage with the community and possibly even pay her bills.  Then, we shift the conversation to the reality of how hard this all is to cope with. While this is not an official mental health support group, Athena Project wishes to create space for artists to empathize with each other and share resources.  There is much coming out online about where to go for help but it can be overwhelming. This space is meant to give folks a chance to vent and connect. And perhaps by sharing in this way (even if it means screaming THIS SUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKSSS!!!) everyone will feel a bit better about the state of our world and ourselves.

Our co-facilitators will be Angela Astle of Athena Project and Dr. Rohini Gupta, Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Denver.  This is a FREE event, but donations are always welcome at https://athenaprojectarts.org/get-involved/donate/.

The organization has grown to include summer art camps for girls in 6th-10th grade, and numerous invitations to provide programming (Curating Art for Impact) for some of Denver’s most respected organizations such as TEDx, The Women’s Foundation, Denver Center for Performing Arts, Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, among others.
