Workshops Athena Project Produces

G.R.R.L.S. Create Workshops

Born from our foundational programming, which serves girls and nonbinary youth in 6th-10th grade, we designed curricula aligned with Athena Project’s mission.  Centering feminism and gender empowerment, these workshops use art forms such as theatre, creative writing, fashion, and comedy to nurture young people to build empathy for themselves and others while gaining mindfulness tools for resilience. Perfect for after-school programs, libraries, and youth-focused organizations.

Artfully Minded Workshops

Our dynamic arts workshops for participants of all genders ages 12-18 yrs connect communities with local women and nonbinary professional artists, creating safe artistic spaces for creativity, self-expression, and growth. Workshop participants explore their voice, build confidence, and develop skills they can use in everyday life. Ideal for community centers, senior programs, or organizations looking to offer enriching arts engagement.

Rebel Arts Workshops

We believe everyone is an artist. Too many older adults have been left with the impression that they’re just not creative.  Rebel Arts centers women ages 55+, provides professional guidance and instruction in all kinds of artistic disciplines, including visual art, storytelling and movement. Our goals include establishing a safe space for creativity, encouraging self-expression and nurturing self-confidence.  Research and our own experience demonstrate the very special results this type of programming engenders: better health, greater socialization and most importantly, the discovery that yes, everyone is an artist! Great for community centers, senior housing, workplaces, and personal growth retreats.

All workshops can be tailored to fit any length of time beginning with 50 minutes and costs start at $125/workshop.
