Women are often the entry point to working with the family – and the same goes for the arts. Women have a unique ability to tell the stories of their families and of their journeys through the arts. It’s a voice we need to uplift and share.

I am now, officially, Athena Project’s biggest fan. Between their mission to support women in the Arts and their consummate service and professionalism during the District’s June Live & Local events, consider this a 5 out of 5 Star recommendation.
At Blue Bench we were thrilled to collaborate with Athena Project on the creation of a short play that embodied the mission of our organization. The team at Athena Project took great care to spend time interviewing our key staff members in order to understand our mission. They then wrote, directed, and produced a short play which resulted in contributing to our most successful fundraising breakfast to date.
Athena Project brings professional talent and organizational skills to the stage. We were impressed by the diversity of artists who performed, both in artistic mediums as well as intersections from all walks of life. We continue to work with Athena Project year over year because they truly elevate our mission.
