Join Athena Project for a family-friendly event in collaboration with Huerta Urbana’s Farmers Market taking place at Focus Points Family Resource Center!  Using musicians in pedicabs and featuring DJ CYN and live performing artists on the front porch of the community center, we’re hosting artBURSTS, free pop-up performances for audiences to experience the joy a burst of art brings.

Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2 pm-6 pm

During this event, pedicabbers are transporting an all women mariachi band throughout the Globeville-Elyria-Swansea neighborhood.  And keep your eyes out for the digital billboard truck traversing the neighborhood streets that morning (between 10am-2pm) featuring women artists from Museo de las Americas. At various times throughout the afternoon, more women artists of all disciplines will be performing their craft on the front porch of Focus Points.

This is the latest series of events highlighting women artists in our Curating Art for Impact program, which produces impactful and unique art with community partners. We uplift women artists and Huerta Urbana’s Farmers Market is a social enterprise bringing fresh food to the community; it’s a welcome opportunity to support each other’s work!
