Artfully Minded FREE Workshop

Please join Athena Project for a FREE arts and crafts holiday workshop in collaboration with Lifespan Local and led by local teaching artist Larysa Medina. In this Artfully Minded Workshop, ALL young people of Westwood are invited to participate in making and decorating Navidad ornaments for the holiday season. This workshop will take place on Wednesday, December 4th, 5:30-7pm, located at Blossom House Youth Space: 3300 W Nevada Place, Denver, CO 80219. Athena Project is excited to offer access to the arts for underrepresented groups in Westwood via our Artfully Minded programming!
Larysa Medina
I am a graphic designer and artist originally from Alamosa, Colorado. When I was 6 years old I moved to Denver with my family in 2007 in hopes of finding bigger and better opportunities in the city. I grew up within a family that valued cultural and familial traditions which I apply to my work and is one of my main inspirations. I Am very detail oriented and I love to design anything with skulls especially. Much of my current work consists of tattoo influenced designs/illustrations as well as brand identity projects. I also enjoy creating murals!
As a recent graduate from the University of Colorado of Denver with a BFA in digital design, I look forward to what the future has to offer so that I can grow as an artist and in my career. I am also working towards a future in tattooing as well.
