Join us for a fun and creative summer series of hands-on sewing workshops led by teaching artist Christiana Lazarine!

Over 5 weeks, participants will learn beginner-friendly sewing skills, including:
🧵 How to sew a skirt using a pattern
♻️ How to upcycle an item from your closet into something new

Meet the Teaching Artist

Christiana Lazarine

Christiana Lazarine is originally from San Antonio, Texas where she studied Fashion Design at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where she also began her teaching career as an Adjunct Professor.  Christiana attended the Paris Fashion Institute and has studied couture embroidery techniques. She specializes and is interested in sustainable fashion, bespoke tailoring, couture sewing techniques, product development, technical illustration, and 3D apparel rendering. At home Christiana enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys gardening and baking with her children, traveling, and exploring her community.
