Center for Colorado Women’s History Colorado Day

Join us on Colorado Day for an amazing line up of Athena talent at the wonderful Center for Colorado Women’s History! CCWH is a host location for the CO Day Community Fest in Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District, and the perfect spot for you and your family to celebrate our state’s 150th birthday through art, history, and community.
The day’s festivities include:
- FREE Museum admission and Center for CO Women’s History tours available from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Grand opening of CCWH’s Shared History mural by Chloe Duplessis facilitated by Athena Project
- Athena Project art activations, interactive creative experiences, and performances from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Natasha Rechignac (Visual Artist/Muralist)
Natasha is an artist from Sedalia, Colorado. Born and raised in a mountain town she has always had a love for the outdoors that she reflects through her art. From animals to mountains you can find her love of nature in everything she creates. Over the years her style has shifted further from realism into the world of surrealism, as she explores new ways of story telling through painting. While she has spent most of her life creating art, she is also a teacher who enjoys spending her summers teaching at the Denver Art Museum.

Janeen Bogue and Friends (Folk/Bluegrass Band)
Janeen Bogue, Tina Dozauer, and Emily Holbrooks are a vibrant Front Range trio who have been making music together for almost three years. Each brings additional experience from performing with other regional bands, and together they deliver songs steeped in tradition and nostalgia that frequently have audiences singing along. Their rich vocal harmonies, strong instrumental prowess, and high-energy performances combine to create a warm, engaging live show that delights listeners of all ages.

Trio Los Bohemios (Mexican Folkloric and Latin Rock band)
Trio Los Bohemios brings the vibrant spirit of Latin America to life, blending lush three-part vocal harmonies, authentic instrumentation, and romantic, danceable rhythms. They perform traditional Afro-Cuban classics, Mexican folkloric music, and Latin rock. Featuring acoustic nylon string guitar, bass, hand percussion, and three soulful singers, their music is a celebration of sound that goes to the very heart of Latin America. Featuring Ricardo Peña (guitar, vocals), Amy Biondo (percussion, vocals), and Luis Prato (bass, vocals).

Miss Sparkles (Face Paint and Balloon Artist)
Miss Sparkles is the owner and creative force behind Sparkles Creative, a Colorado-based entertainment and balloon decor company. She brings joy through whimsical balloon art, face painting, and custom installation. Believing whole heartedly that there are no age limits on fun and everything is better with a little sparkle. 😉 While the art is temporary, the connections and memories are meant to last.

Kenzey Kasdaglis (Hula Hoop Artist and Juggler)
Kenzey has been working with hoops for 15 years, performing and teaching across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. With a dynamic style and a passion for movement, she loves inspiring others to try something new. Whether on stage or in the classroom, Kenzey brings energy, creativity, and an encouraging approach to hooping and juggling.
