Huerta Urbana Farmers Market

Join us on October 31st, from 2PM to 4PM to celebrate the season’s closing of Huerta Urbana’s Farmers Market – Now in its fourth year, the Huerta Urbana Farmers Market serves as a fun, educational, equitable and thriving community gathering space that is affordable for all. The market operates in collaboration with vendors and community partners using a pay-what-you-can model supporting access to fresh, healthy produce as well as local economic development. Huerta is held at a central urban farm on the Focus Points Family Resources Center site in Globeville-Elyria-Swansea.

There will be music, hot food, fresh produce, and other handmade wares for purchase! See you there!

DJ Cyn

Cynthia Mardones, known by her stage name, DJ Cyn has been curating music internationally for over 14 years. DJ Cyn began her career in Breckenridge, Colorado DJing for extreme sporting events, such as X-Games, Dew Tour, and Burton Open. Her career has been a culmination of artist showcases, corporate events, weddings, clubs, and has opened for other artists like Usher, Rob Base, Macy Grey, Tyga, Doja Cat, Miguel, and more.
Renowned for her ability to read the energy of a crowd, Cyn is truly unbound by genre or era. Curating music at culturally driven events, she truly has transformed the way we experience music. She prides herself on being a “one-stop-shop”. Not only does she provide professional DJ services, but she also offers full sound services, lights, staging, and can arrange booking for other DJ’s and bands.

Dani and Coco

Dani and Coco are a duo acoustic act. The pair met while teaching for a local music nonprofit and quickly bonded over shared musical tastes. Both have busy lives in the Denver scene– Coco can be seen performing her original music with her band Gartener, and Dani working as a gigging bassist. Their new duo acoustic project highlights the strengths they have as individual musicians as well as their close friendship, which brings their collaboration to a whole new level.

Los Bohemios/Amy Biondo

Los Bohemios is an acoustic ensemble performing Cuban Son, Salsa, and Boleros; Bossa Nova; Latin Rock; Latin Jazz and Mexican Mariachi repertoire. The group features Ricardo Peña on vocals and guitar or requinto, Amy Biondo on vocals and hand percussion, Bill Kopper on guitar and vocals, Mark Diamond on upright bass, and Leo Corona on congas, bongos, and vocals.
They offer beautiful 3-part harmony, Spanish guitars, acoustic bass and Latin percussion to create danceable salsa rhythms in the style of Buena Vista Social Club or Gloria Estefan, and romantic ballads in the style of Los Panchos.

Baile Caliente

Ballet Folklorico Baile Caliente is a local Denver folkloric dance group under direction of Tamara Vigil. They have been sharing the art of Mexican ballet folklorico with audiences since 2010. Baile Caliente takes joined together for the love of dance, and community. Their goal is to share culture in and bring the energy to every stage, both large and small.
They have performed across Colorado to honor cultural events and holidays through community events like Denver Parade of Lights, Tigres del Norte Denver/Albuquerque Tour, as well as in collaboration for the National Western Stock show and Levitt Pavilion.

Emelise

Emelise is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Denver whose folk-rock, Americana style and soulful voice have often earned her the title of an old soul. Performing since the age of six, she has shared her music across the country at coffee shops, farmers markets, microbreweries, festivals, and venues. She recently recorded her debut EP, On My Way, produced by Brad Corrigan of Dispatch, and is now working on her first full-length album. Highlights of her career include performing at TEDx Uncommon, Move the Dial, LA’s Winston House, and winning first place at New York’s Apollo Theatre’s Stars of Tomorrow.
