Athena Project’s 10th Annual Plays In Progress Series returns LIVE for 2022
Experience a weekend of new works by women playwrights Tháng 6 4-5, 2022

Plays In Progress is a unique program fostering new works by women playwrights. The Plays In Progress (PIP) Series is designed to give playwrights and audiences an opportunity to interact with work as it is being created. Athena Project’s annual Plays In Progress Series will be on Tháng 6 4th and 5th as in-person table readings and talkbacks, featuring incredible playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, and actors from across the country.  Details on LIVESTREAM.

This year we highlight four playwrights whose work was selected from the submissions of more than 300 playwrights nationwide.  The PIP Series takes place at the Aurora Fox Arts Center and seeks to uplift the voices of women* artists while enriching patrons’ understanding of the new play development process. 

Tickets for General Admission are available to the public for $15 for each reading and talkback. All artists of any discipline can buy a ticket at the discounted industry rate of half-price – that’s $7.50 which is less than 2 gallons of gas!

Since Plays In Progress Series’ inception, we have introduced 7 World Premieres and workshopped over 54 plays. Six have gone on to be fully produced by other theaters across the U.S.
