2023 Micrófono abierto y taller

Athena Project presenta su nueva extensión del programa Girls Create - Artfully Minded Open Mic Nights y talleres para chicas de 6º a 10º curso* interesadas en aprender y/o interpretar formas de arte como la palabra hablada, la poesía, la música, la actuación/monólogos, la dramaturgia, el stand-up y la danza.

Únase a nosotros los 2º lunes de cada mes para asistir a un evento que reúne a profesionales de la comunidad para impartir talleres y proporcionar orientación durante el proceso creativo en diversas disciplinas artísticas.

Each 50-minute workshop culminates in an open mic where students share their work, whether from that night’s workshop or other projects. Each open mic spot is for 5 minutes and there are 7 performance spots. We invite the community, including friends & family of the participants, to experience these performances. Event is free, although a suggested donation is welcome. Please register below!

Todos los talleres son presenciales, de 18.30 a 21.00 horas, en el Town Hall Collaborative, en 525 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO, 80204.

This new program is part of Girls Create, which empowers girls to lead and effect change in themselves and others through creative learning. This program seeks to encourage girls to tap into their creativity, gain confidence, and do what they love in the arts.

Octubre’s Workshop Teaching Artist

Kylee C. Also known as Honey B Honest is a multifaceted visual and performance artist from Denver, Colorado. She is a host and organizer at Mercury Cafe’s Domingo Night Open Mic and Slam. Honey has has partnered with local non profit organizations that offer artistic opportunities to communities in need; such as, The Gathering Place, Redline Art Gallery, Art Restart and Boluvard One. Many describe her performances as eccentric, energetic, and powerful. Her poetry is inspired by resiliency, self-care, and personal experiences to promote healing and motivation.
