Read & Rant es el club de lectura del Proyecto Atenea que explora obras escritas principalmente por mujeres. Leemos uno o dos guiones o materiales auxiliares durante el mes y nos reunimos cada tercer lunes en línea a través de Zoom, para discutir las obras. Aprenda en qué consiste un buen guión, discuta cómo nos afecta y explore cómo se relaciona con el mundo en general. Converse con invitados que aporten una base de conocimientos en profundidad. Esta oferta mensual gratuita a la comunidad pretende concienciar sobre la escasa representación de las historias de mujeres en los escenarios.

Happy New Year and here’s to trying something new this month!  This month we want for YOU to bring your favorite script to share about.  Why do you love it?  Have you seen it produced somewhere?  Our guest this month will be Lynde Rosario, freelance dramaturg and former Literary Manager at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA).  Lynde will be teaching us about the various genres of theatre–Magical Realism, Comedy, Farce, and even some new genres such as Afrofuturism.  This Read & Rant will be fun and educational at the same time. And we look forward to getting to know you, our readers, as well.  It’s amazing what you can learn about someone based on the plays they like to read!
