Women in Their Infinite Forms

Denver Milk Market and Dairy Block, in partnership with Athena Project present Women in Their Infinite Forms. Stroll through the Denver Milk Market and the Dairy Block to view the (wo)mannequins which have been transformed into life-size art telling the story of women reinvention and power through the years.

Art pieces will be on display (and for sale) throughout Dairy Block until March 31. Click on the Interactive Map to get the links to bid on your favorite (wo) mannequin and find where they are located.

Thank to our crazy Colorado weather, we have postponed our Art Strut/Reception and Pop Up Art Market (where you can meet the artists and purchase other items from their collections) until next Saturday March 20, from 4-6pm. Please plan to join us then and listen to foot-tapping tunes from Colorado favorite, Wendy Woo. And if the weather cooperates, we will be back in the Dairy Block alley for this event. Meet The Artists

Adri Norris

Afro Triangle Designs, LLC

At an early age, Adri Norris knew that she wanted to be an artist. Norris was raised to see herself as someone who could help people and improve lives. It was only in the last few years that she figured out how she would do that. The Women Behaving Badly series was born out of a desire to educate people about women from the past. Their stories have been lost over time and this loss is a disservice to the women and girls living now, and to society as a whole. They remind us that women are not the idle half of society, but have been active in building the world we live in from the very beginning.

Autumn T. Thomas

Autumn T. Thomas Fine Art

Autumn T. Thomas is an interdisciplinary artist currently working in wood sculpture. Her work challenges the boundaries of visual literacy by transforming wood into soft, twisting forms, mimicking the endurance required to thrive amidst the oppression and marginalization of women of color. Autumn received her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia in 2017 and her BFA in Visual Communication from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015. She currently lives and works in Denver.

Jana Hope

Jana Hope was born and raised in Colorado by a single mother and along side her older sister. Jana spent her childhood driven by curiosity and creativity, and guided by women. After graduating with Art Honors is high school, and studying fine art at Metro State, Jana embarked on a path in the arts through collaborative projects and studio art. In 2017, Jana expanded her artistic reach with creating murals, teaching art and preforming live painting at events while showing her artwork throughout Colorado in solo and group shows. Jana has won live painting competitions in both 2019, and pre-COVID 2020, making her known for her vibrant and expressive speed painting as well as her metaphoric studio paintings. Building on her solo mural success, Jana co-founded the DJC Mural crew in early 2020 with two fellow female artists. In the face of a pandemic, our painting sisterhood has created mural work across Denver including RiNo Arts District, Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Town Center of Aurora.

Lindsey Gutman

Lindsey Gutman’s main focus for the past 17 years has been a stay at home mom. Wife, field-trip chaperone, classroom volunteer, carpooler,… you know the drill. But, what has always defined Lindsey is her passion for all art forms.

Currently, Lindsey is finding the balance between family time and her love to create. Any time spent in the studio is exciting and makes her feel alive.

Lindsey graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Her work has spanned from graphic design for motor oil labels to primitive paintings for children book illustrations. She was selected to show work in Society of Illustrator’s Museum in New York City.

Deborah Jang

Deborah Jang is a visual artist and poet whose creative work is rooted in her perspective as a woman of color (API) and who writes with compassion for a world in crisis. Her debut poetry collection, “Float True,” was published in March 2020 by Shanti Arts LLC. Her sculptural work can be found in collections regionally and nationally.

Tatiana Jordan

Tatiana Jordan is an analog photography and mixed media artist from Parker, CO. She studied Photography at CU Denver and found her love for historic photographic processes on a summer abroad trip to Florence, Italy. Her works are based on concepts of the family and the struggles of women’s and parental identity by combining fabrics, thread, text and early photographic processes. She finds catharsis in the authenticity where the items touch and leave their marks when exposed to sunlight.

Karlee Mariel

Karlee is a contemporary artist. She creates large scale murals and has worked for over 20 years in oil painting and ceramic sculpture. She is driven by discovery and the joy of creating art, and is interested in bringing communities and youth together to contribute to public murals for positive social change.

Michelle Lamb

Michelle is a Colorado assemblage artist specializing in intriguing and thought provoking sculptural narratives using found objects she highly manipulates so they appear integral to one another. She received her BFA from CSU and is a member of CORE New Art Space and represented by The Art Spirit Gallery in Idaho. Her award winning work has been displayed at Republic Plaza and various venues, is in the collection of Kaiser Permanente, and has a public art commissioned by City of Littleton and RTD. She teaches both private lessons and group workshops.

Mel Aman

Surprise! Delight! inspire! These are the objectives of Denver artist Mel Aman. Through sculpture and interactive installations, she sticks to the very strict guidelines of making messes, doing inventions and learning to fly. Keep an eye out for her large-scale installation “Love Songs,” slated to open at The Commons on Champa Fall 2021.

Samantha “Doom” Donen is an Industrial Designer from Denver, Colorado. Donen was dubbed “Doom” for being an empowering female lead on bass guitar in the Denver music scene; Westword Cover 2010. Donen graduated from MSU Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design.

Her professional career consists of master artist (custom mannequins) for Nike, NBA, Old Navy, Target, and Michael Kors at NOA Brands, as well as Industrial Soft Goods Design at IFuzion, LLC.

She has excelled as Lighting Director and Designer at The Gothic Theatre, The Vilar Center for the Performing Arts, Olympics, and Touring Productions alike.  Also, she shined as Public Events Coordinator for SOCO Nightlife.

In her spare time, Donen volunteers as a design mentor for students at Gold Crown Foundations, and designs soft goods for [Make4covid.co](http://make4covid.co/).
