On the third Thursday of each month from 4-8pm, several modes of transportation will canvas the city’s 11 districts. Of the modes of transportation, two will feature visual art, one will be a stage with a dancer, and one will share music via the backs of pedicabs. While determining the routes, prioritization will be given to communities hardest hit during COVID-19 as well as routes where organizations serving women are located. K Contemporary and Athena Project will curate the project and fund artists, placing emphasis on work by women artists and artists of color. The number of vehicles could change dependent upon availability of the various modes of transportation.
Thursday, July 16, the mobile feast of performers will be activating spaces around the Santa Fe Arts District. A mobile stage created by Handsome Little Devils will bring Joy Bombs featuring dancers from Samba Colorado and a spoken word artist, Tanaya Winder. Riding independently in pedicabs will be local musical favorites to be announced and mobile billboards will traverse the city featuring visual artworks by Melissa Furness, Suchitra Mattai, and Access Gallery.
This is a rain or shine event and we ask all audiences to practice social distancing and to wear a mask to help protect our artists and slow the spread of Covid-19.
